Frank Lloyd Wright at Florida Southern College Tour
Did you know that world famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright designed seven buildings on the campus of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL? Insights and Design and UPCC have teamed up to offer a special trip for our joint Members to view these amazing building exteriors, and three building interiors.
Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Transportation: Provided By Dolphin Luxury Coach Bus (restroom equipped).
Cost: $75 per person which includes roundtrip transportation and tour, billed to your UPCC account. Lunch is paid by participants. A bottle of water will be given to each participant each way on the bus. If you require more, please bring your own.
Agenda: Bus will load at 7:10 am in the UPCC parking lot, and depart at 7:30 am SHARP!
Our docent led, 1.5 hour long walking tour will begin at 10am, rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
Re-Board Bus at 11:45 and head to The Joinery, a food hall, where you can purchase lunch of your choice, at your own expense. Open seating for lunch, not reserved. Check out the various vendors at https://www.thejoinerylkld.com/
Re-Board Bus at 1:15 and head back to UPCC.
Considerations: This is a low to moderate exercise event. You should be able to walk unaided and climb multiple stairs over 90 minutes. The facilities are a National Historic Landmark and do not conform to ADA Accessibility Guidelines. Additionally this is a rain or shine event. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Please wear proper attire and bring an umbrella if needed.
Registration: Open to UPWC Members (spouse/partners too), and Members of UPCC. Registration is on a first come, first served basis via email ONLY. To register, email Rico Alcala beginning March 2nd at 9:00 AM ralcala@universitypark-fl.com DO NOT REGISTER HERE.
Any cancellations must be made via email to Rico by end of day on March 30 to avoid being charged.
