On Thursday, March 4th the Garden Group enjoyed a program on “Fun with Flowers” by  floral designer Janice Hamlin. Janice is a member of the Manatee River Garden Club and a Master Gardener for Manatee County.  Her designs included material from our Queen palms exquisitely twisted and painted in intricate shapes to complement unusual containers; also Calla lily, Spider mums, dill and parsley were incorporated into beautiful contemporary designs.  Mary Kay Urell and Susie Melum organized this program for the Gardeners.

The Parks Larks happily have five new singers joining our group.  They are a most welcome addition and we're confident that they'll soon be belting out their parts like the old timers.  The Larks are now working on a Spring program featuring music already in our repertoire. We already have commitments for two performances, possibly three.
