About Us

University Park Women’s Club, formed in 2001, is a not-for-profit social organization which offers activities and promotes friendships among women residents of University Park Country Club. There have been over 300 women each year who have been members and involved with the club over the past ten years.
The club has many activities for its members. Our social events encompass a wide variety of venues and frequently are planned to include spouses or partners. Our Outreach program welcomes residents who enjoy improving the welfare of others. A number of smaller organized groups provide a way for members to meet others in University Park with similar interests. See "Special Interests" tab.
We have supported a variety of organizations through the years including SPARCC (Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center), Mothers Helping Mothers, PACE (Practical Academic Cultural Education), Manatee Children’s Services, Food Bank of Manatee, Children’s Guardian Fund, Habitat for Humanity, and many others. More than $10,000 per year has been contributed to community charities. The Diamond and Crystal Charity Ball is our main fund-raising social event of the year.
Four General Luncheon meetings for members are held each year. Annual dues for each club year, July 1 – June 30, cover our operating expenses.
